Thank you for affirming the things I have felt since I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I was almost 42 when she was born and evidently all maternal instincts leave you prior to age 40 if you have not given birth by then. She is a joy most of the time, but difficult alot of the time. Motherhood, for me, is very hard work. And the prospect of having a teenager when I am almost 60 scares me to death.
